Delhi govt plans to create ‘urban forest’ in Najafgarh

The forest and wildlife department is set to create its first ‘Miyawaki’ forest at Kharkari Jatmal in Najafgarh in southwest Delhi and has floated a tender.

CM, LG meet at park launch amid services bill acrimony

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena met for the first time after a bill was passed giving control of Delhi's administrative machinery to the central government. They inaugurated a waste-to-art theme park together and expressed camaraderie and smiles during the event. The park, known as Shaheedi Park, features sculptures made from waste material and is funded by the central government. Kejriwal highlighted his party's efforts to combat corruption and improve sanitation in the city, while Saxena praised the central government's infrastructure projects in Delhi. The park will be open to the public from Wednesday.

3 murder 74-yr-old man, hit 2 others in snatching spree in Delhi

Delhi’s AIIMS seeks environmental nod for building new services block

The proposal was put in front of Delhi’s state expert appraisal committee (SEAC) last week, and the body has now set forward 49 terms of reference

The institute had earlier received EC to build this block in 2012, but only three basements and the ground floor could be completed, and the clearance expired in 2019.
